The Quality Assurance Specialist in Monroe, NC. ensures every yard of material produced or received by Advanced Digital Textiles (ADT) meets our strict quality and customer‑specification standards before it moves to cutting, sewing, or shipment. You will visually inspect printed and greige goods, document findings in our Airtable‑based QMS, package and label approved rolls, and collaborate with print operators and the cut‑and‑sew team to resolve issues quickly.

The Quality Assurance Specialist in Monroe, NC. ensures every yard of material produced or received by Advanced Digital Textiles (ADT) meets our strict quality and customer‑specification standards before it moves to cutting, sewing, or shipment. You will visually inspect printed and greige goods, document findings in our Airtable‑based QMS, package and label approved rolls, and collaborate with print operators and the cut‑and‑sew team to resolve issues quickly.
Core Task | Typical Activities |
Inspect & Grade Fabric | • Examine rolls on an inspection table/rewinder for color accuracy, registration, hand feel, and defects (streaks, pinholes, misprints, dirt, selvage flaws). • Apply customer‑specific criteria to assign grades and accept/reject lots. |
Record & Report | • Log inspection data, yardage counts, and photos in Airtable; generate non‑conformance reports (NCRs). • Flag urgent issues to Print Room Leads and the Production Scheduler to minimize downstream delays. |
Package & Label | • Once approved, wrap rolls, attach bar‑coded labels with lot details, and stage them for cutting, sewing, or shipment. |
Equipment Care | • Maintain proper rewinder tension settings and keep the workstation clean and organized. |
Continuous Improvement Support | • Provide accurate defect data to help reduce recurring issues and support 5S initiatives. |
Qualifications
- Experience – 2 years in textile or apparel quality inspection; digital print experience highly preferred.
- Technical Skills – Familiarity with AATCC & ASTM inspection methods and Microsoft Excel or Airtable for data entry.
- Language – Bilingual (English/Spanish) optimal.
- Vision & Dexterity – Excellent visual acuity and ability to pass a color‑vision test; capable of lifting/turning rolls up to 50 lb. (23 kg) and standing for extended periods.
- Communication – Clear verbal and written skills to document issues and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team‑oriented mindset with flexibility to assist where needed in a fast‑paced environment
- Production floor with variable temperature and humidity (not climate‑controlled); moderate noise from printers and sewing equipment
- Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with overtime as workload requires
