Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Magento Architect with extensive expertise in Adobe Commerce and a proven track record in e-commerce architecture. This hybrid onsite role in Brea, California, is ideal for an experienced professional to lead architectural decisions, design scalable e-commerce solutions, and mentor a technical team. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership
Define and implement robust architecture for Magento (Adobe Commerce) solutions.
Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies for project requirements.
Provide technical direction and strategic guidance to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
Technical Leadership
Oversee the development, customization, and deployment of Magento (Adobe Commerce) solutions.
Establish best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization strategies.
Resolve complex technical challenges and ensure quality deliverables.
Development & Integration
Design and implement advanced Magento applications, modules, and features.
Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and payment gateways into the Magento ecosystem.
Optimize performance for web and mobile platforms.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and stakeholders to align technical efforts with business objectives.
Quality Assurance
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Troubleshoot and debug issues during the development and post-launch phases.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture blueprints and deployment instructions.
Provide regular progress updates and address challenges to project stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience : 12 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a lead / architectural role.

Adobe Commerce Expertise : Deep understanding of Adobe Commerce (Magento 2.x), including module development, theming, and advanced customization.

Architecture : Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable e-commerce architectures.

Frontend & Backend : Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.

Integration Knowledge : Extensive experience with third-party integrations (APIs, payment gateways, shipping, etc.).

Performance Optimization : Strong knowledge of caching mechanisms, database optimization, and performance tuning.

Version Control : Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.

Methodologies : Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Problem-Solving : Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications : Magento Certified Developer or Adobe Commerce Developer certification.

E-commerce Domain : Experience working with large-scale e-commerce platforms.

Cloud Hosting : Familiarity with Magento Cloud, AWS, or other cloud services.

Soft Skills : Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
