What You’ll Do
As a manufacturing technician, this position will assist in troubleshooting basic equipment issues, escalating more complex problems to engineering staff. The role will involve reviewing manufacturing equipment, assembly processes, and product. The technician will monitor product quality, document results, and follow SOPs, MPIs, WIs, and other protocols closely. Additionally, this position will support production operations by assisting manufacturing engineers in supporting engineering builds and investigating product defects and manufacturing issues and identifying basic constraints in production flow. The technician will also contribute to improving operations by providing input on potential enhancements to tools, materials, and procedures under guidance from senior team members.

- Support Optimizing Manufacturing Processes: Support Manufacturing Engineers improve productivity by implementing tools, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing production flow and equipment performance.
- Support Engineering Builds: Support engineering builds, testing, and assist with process enhancements and product improvements.
- Ensure Quality and Compliance: Conduct inspections of products, maintain adherence to GMP and GDP practices, FDA, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain Equipment and Facilities: Set up, operate, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment while maintaining safety and compliance.
- Investigate and Resolve Issues: Assist in conducting root cause investigations for product and process issues.
- Collect and Manage Production Data: Capture and record production data, maintain accurate logs, and assist in preparing reports under guidance.
What You’ll Bring – minimum requirements for this role:
- A minimum of 0 to 2 years related experience in the medical device industry preferred.
- Knowledge of and exposure to product manufacturing, testing, and data collection.
- Should possess adequate math skills.
- Familiar with GMP, GDP procedures and requirements.
- Ability to work independently or in team setting required.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment (hot boxes, adhesives, soldering, bonding, fuse joining) and testing techniques: tensile, simulated use testing, or tests related to assigned projects preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Good interpersonal skills, effective interaction with Operations and other departments.
