Imperial is seeking a self-directed HR Generalist to oversee key HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, training, learning and development initiatives, organizational effectiveness, and workers' compensation administration. The HR Generalist will serve as a key advisor to company leaders and employees, ensuring HR policies and best practices are followed while fostering a positive work environment.

What You’ll be Doing
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Act as an HR advisor for employees and leadership, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance.
- Address employee concerns, assist in resolving workplace conflicts, and conduct investigations when necessary.
- Attend and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations to ensure fairness and compliance.
- Ensure company policies are followed across both locations and update policies as needed to align with HR best practices.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Training, Learning & Development:
- Coordinate all learning and development initiatives to support employee growth and company objectives.
- Lead company-wide training sessions on HR policies, workplace culture, and relevant professional development topics.
- Develop organizational effectiveness strategies to enhance team performance and productivity.
Compensation, Benefits & Leave Administration:
- Assist employees with payroll, benefits, and leave inquiries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Administer workers’ compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
- Monitor employee engagement, morale, and retention trends, making recommendations for improvement.
HR Strategy & Organizational Development:
- Assist the HR Director in developing HR strategies that align with company goals.
- Stay updated on HR best practices and employment law changes, implementing necessary updates.
- Support culture-building initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace satisfaction.
What We Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (required).
- 3 years of HR experience in a generalist or specialist capacity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with leadership.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Deep understanding of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
