What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Water Department Assistant position at Imperial Irrigation District?
Primary Function
Under general direction, manages projects, programs, activities, and staff involved in the operation, maintenance, control, delivery and drainage of an open channel raw water system and facilities; implements goals, objectives, and policies regarding system planning, management, operations, maintenance and replacement. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water resources management or related degree and ten years of increasingly responsible supervisory civil engineering or water systems operations experience with Colorado River water management agencies, irrigation and drainage districts, or large water utility systems, including five years of project management experience related to water systems, construction or contract management with a federal or state agency or public utility.
Licensing & Certification Requirements
Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer with the State of California or Arizona is desired.
A valid driver's license issued by the State of California or Arizona, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.
