Imperial Surveillance is looking to add an Experienced Field Service Security System Technician to install and service systems in the greater Chicago, IL area. Imperial Surveillance is a full-service licensed security company that specializes in Video Surveillance, Access Control, Alarm Systems, Intercoms, Cyber Solutions, and other Low Voltage Systems. The Field Service Security System Technician position entails going onsite to install and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Alarms, and other low voltage systems. You will be working closely with other qualified technicians out in the field and may be required to work independently on occasion. As a technician you will be working in many different environments and be required to use power tools, lifts, ladders, and other equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Qualifications we are looking for:
- Previous experience with alarm systems or low voltage required
- IT: 2 years (preferred)
- Ability to learn different software applications
- Ability to use power tools safely
- Able to follow instructions and learn quickly
- Carry weights of up to 50 pounds
- Use ladders safely and climb up to 24 ft. high
- Ability to be certified to use both boom and scissor lifts

- Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
- Ability to perform all tasks in a professional and safe manner
Primary Responsibilities:
- On site installation and programming of CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Alarms and other low voltage equipment.
- Installation of cable management infrastructure including J Hooks, Bridal Rings, Conduit, Raceways, Cable Trays, Ladder Racks etc.
- Complete installation of security systems including running wires, labeling, connections/terminations, and mounting of equipment in a satisfactory manor for both customer and contractual requirements. (Fiber experience a plus)
- On site training with customers to ensure complete understanding of systems installed.
- Proper documentation of installations including Job Close Out Reports, Service Tickets, As Builds etc.
- Building and maintaining professional customer relationships.
Schedule:
- 40 hour per week (some weeks may require over time)
- 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri (May vary based on job location and travel requirements)
- 8am start time (May vary with site schedule)
