I’m working with a Biotechnology company who are on the lookout for a maintenance technician to join their team in Chicago, IL.

Key responsibilities:
· You might need to be "on call" during off hours.
· Get hands-on with fixing emergency equipment breakdowns, handling regular repairs, and tackling preventative maintenance tasks.
· Your day-to-day will include a mix of fixing equipment issues as they come up, doing scheduled servicing, lubrication, and inspections, filling out GMP paperwork, and exploring ways to improve processes.
· Help the operations team hit their production goals by keeping equipment in good shape and quickly handling any breakdowns.
· Team up with other departments to work on process improvements.
· You may need to get certified for using a respirator or become Pauper-certified
Required experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· Trade school certificates/licenses or associate degree.
· 5yr Experience in Manufacturing as an Industrial Mechanic.
· Good documentation skills.
· Hands on repair skills.
· Ability to work within a team of diverse backgrounds.
· Good communication, team player, flexible, self-motivated, and decision maker.
· Professionalism.
· Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Continuous learning attitude.
· Can read schematics (mechanical, pneumatic, piping, part assemblies).
· Safe, clean, and organized work habits.
· Familiar with what tools are correct for specific tasks.
Preferred experience:
· Worked in the pharmaceutical or food industry before.
· Familiar with GMP regulations.
· Bonus points if you’ve got skills or experience in things like HVAC, pipefitting, welding, machining, construction, etc.
· Comfortable using Microsoft apps.
· Know how to tweak and mark up schematics (redlining).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Industrial Mechanic: 5 years (Required)
- CGMP: 2 years (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- North Chicago, IL 60064: Relocate before starting work (Required)
