Description

The Residential Clinical Director is responsible for oversight and management of admission, discharge and clinical services for The Grove, a Level II, 32-bed, Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program for youth ages 13-17.

The position is full-time, exempt and the base rate for the position starts at $87,500.00 annualized with credit given for relative education and experience above what is required for the position.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of all aspects of RTC, PHP and IOP clinical services to ensure health, safety, and welfare of adolescent clients
  • Provide weekly supervision, consultation, and leadership for all direct reports; arrange for and ensure training compliance for all staff.
  • Ensure HR management of staff members to include timely completion of performance evaluations, corrective action plans and annual review of job descriptions.
  • Oversee admissions, discharges and utilization review; maintaining census at minimum of 75%.
  • Develop and manage program schedule/s and ensure counseling coverage, including weekend programming in accordance with licensure requirements.
  • Provide appropriate evidenced-based clinical services for all residential clients; may carry a small caseload and/or be in rotation of group therapy services depending on census.
  • Intervene as needed clinically with clients (crises, crisis intervention, special needs, baker acts, etc.)
  • Responsible for supervision and compliance with clinical timelines of documentation and clinical matters in accordance with agency policy, regulation, or contract standards.
  • Ensures accurate record keeping; reviews and approves client records in Electronic Health Record for quality of treatment documentation and planning.
  • Supervise weekly treatment team and ensure communication and collaboration with all members of the treatment team including medical, judicial, psychiatry, administrative and direct care team members.
  • Responsible for compliance with all programmatic contractual requirements including up to date clinical documentation and meeting medical necessity guidelines for insurance review.
  • Assist in development of program policies and procedures.
  • Approve all Drug Court clinical documents: MTPs, bio's, case notes and monthly summaries.
  • Provide monthly court reports for clients admitted to The Grove and on-site clinical review for proposed drug court admissions.
  • Attend Seminole County Drug Court monthly and represent clinical voice for necessary decisions regarding level of care and appropriateness in the Drug Court program.
  • Provide monthly clinical case staffing for drug court therapists (once per month per clinician)
  • Establish communication/meetings with families/guardians and others to address complex needs of clients or address complaints, inquiries, and/or review of treatment plans/updates.
  • Delivers or arranges trainings or resources required for clinical staff to perform their roles.
  • Provide training and consultation to direct care staff as needed with regard to monitoring the residential milieu and assuring individual interactions are consistent with the treatment plan and goals for that patient.
  • Work with Admissions and Quality to audit at least 5% of individual client records monthly to ensure that counseling staff have appropriate measurable individual service plans that are fluid and updated for client progress, have current progress notes congruent with ASAM criteria, and treatment is consistent with all relevant policies and procedures of the organization and licensing and accreditation bodies.
  • Implement policies and procedures of the treatment milieu to ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA (45 CFR), reporting breaches as required.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and organizational trainings, meetings, and events as scheduled or assigned.
  • Actively pursue opportunities for new program development or expansion to meet changing community needs and opportunities.
  • Act as representative/advocate for IMPOWER, including active participation in community meetings and working collaboratively with partners.
  • Maintain regular communication with the COO including potential liability issues or significant incidents that put the agency or clients at risk; complete incident reports timely as required.
  • Complete required reports and assignments in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
  • Completes all other tasks and duties as assigned or as needed to help drive The Grove and IMPOWER's vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values.
  • Complete required training courses within designated time frame.
  • Abide by ethics, policies and procedures and professional standards of IMPOWER.

Requirements

Qualifications, Education, Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in a counseling discipline from an accredited college or university; Current Florida License in mental health, social work or marriage and family therapy required.
  • Minimum of three years’ administrative and supervisory experience of healthcare program or in a healthcare environment; residential services preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of substance abuse/addictions treatment experience; MCAP a plus
  • Successful background screenings through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, State and County
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and successful motor vehicle driving record background check.
  • Negative result from a multi panel drug screen
