Summary: The Press Support is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining flexo presses to produce labels per our customer expectations.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Helps the press operator by preparing the press for a run by verifying job specs.
- Reading and understanding the customer job jacket.
- Ensure that all equipment needed is placed on the set-up cart.
- Perform press make-ready by removing and loading print cylinders, material, lamination, die, ink, etc.
- Assist press operators with setting up any auxiliary equipment.
- Empties trash and rag containers as they become full.
- Gathers label stock from the inventory clerk.
- Remove finished rolls as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one-year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a printing environment is preferred. Some experience in the operation of various hand tools is preferred. Must be able to work in a team environment.
Physical Conditions: Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear foot and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. In addition, the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here represent those an employee must meet to perform this job's essential functions successfully.
