We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Leasing Agent to join our team at a Low-Income Tax Credit (LIHTC) property. Position Overview: As a Part-Time Leasing Agent, you will play a key role in assisting prospective residents through the leasing process while ensuring compliance with all LIHTC regulations. You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents and work closely with the property management team to maintain the community's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist prospective tenants, answer questions, and conduct tours of available units.
- Process rental applications and verify income and eligibility in accordance with LIHTC guidelines.
- Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, maintaining resident files in compliance with regulations.
- Assist with lease signings, move-ins, and move-outs.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries from current and prospective residents in a professional and timely manner.
- Help manage tenant relations and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ensure property is clean and presentable for showings, maintaining curb appeal and common areas.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including advertising and outreach to attract new residents.
- Collaborate with the property management team to achieve occupancy goals and meet community standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in leasing, customer service, or property management preferred, especially in an LIHTC or affordable housing setting.
- Knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or related certification a plus.
