Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical duties related to the accounts payable function of Improveit! Home Remodeling. This position requires a solid background in basic accounting practices as it will grow as the organization grows. The Accounts Payable Specialist must have the ability to work independently, as well in a team environment.

Markets served include Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington, and Southern Indiana. We specialize in replacement windows, bathroom remodeling and kitchen transformations. BBB-Accredited and 24-time Consumers’ Choice Awards Winners, we’ve completed over 60,000 jobs with about one in four of those being for a repeat customer.

Essential Job Functions
- Timely and accurate entry of vendor invoices in our Improveit 360 CRM (I360), Concur and Sage 50 Software
- Timely and accurate entry of other payables in Sage 50
- Process check runs
- Reconcile vendor statements to I360 and Sage 50
- Reconcile monthly bills, ensuring all recurring bills are paid timely
- Filing invoices, documents, and other materials, per SOPs
- Ensure accounts payable processes are maintained and evolve as our business grows
- Misc. projects as assigned by management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and other proprietary details
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Keen ability to establish priorities and multi-task
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Concur and Sage 50 Accounting Software, a plus
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
