IMS Buhrke-Olson, an industry leader in precision metal stamping and assembly with manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico, is seeking an Assistant Controller for its Arlington Heights, IL facility. Job Functions
- Monthly Close of Financial Reporting System for Arlington Heights
- Manage closing process
- Review all monthly Journal Entries
- Preparation of Monthly Journal Entries
- Financial Statement Preparation for all divisions
- Maintenance of Cost Accounting job Closeouts
- Accuracy of job closeouts
- Maintenance of spreadsheets
- Maintaining Standard costs and Burden Rates
- Responsible for Inventory Accuracy
- Control the Annual Forecasting Process
- Prepare and present review of Financial Package to senior management
- Perform special projects as requested by senior management
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements
- Establish and maintain internal controls for Arlington Heights
- Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
- Identify, analyze and interpret financial trends and patterns of the company
- Develop and maintain metric reports and data visualization (charts and graphs)
- Serve as liaison to external auditors.
Competencies(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job successfully.)
Education/Training – Bachelors Degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus
Experience – 5-7 years of related work experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Language Skills– Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Computer Skills– Have expertise in Excel, experience with budgetary software and F/A software a plus, experience with Epicor software highly desired but not required for hire.
Other – Ability to analyze and translate complex financial data and concepts to individuals at all levels. Ability to communicate across functions and to executive management frequently, providing accurate interpretations of financial data to identify and recommend ways to improve financial performance. Work requires professional written / verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
