The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and culturally aware International Business Development Professional to help grow our presence in global defense markets. This individual will play a pivotal role in identifying, shaping, and securing new business opportunities abroad-particularly in Japan-and will serve as a key representative of our company to customers, partners, and stakeholders worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead international business development initiatives for our radar systems and defense solutions.
- Build and nurture relationships with foreign customers, OEMs, integrators, and government partners.
- Represent the company in capture efforts through FMS, FMF, and DCS channels.
- Educate international customers on radar technologies and become technically fluent in our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate customer needs and develop winning strategies.
- Travel internationally up to 50% of the time under GSA travel requirements.
- Support export compliance by securing necessary U.S. State Department licenses.
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term international growth efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (per FAR 22 C.F.R. 120.15).
- Willingness to work at our Springville, UT headquarters for up to 8 weeks to learn our culture and products.
- Experience in international aerospace/defense business development.
- Prior experience developing business in Japan.
- Familiarity with U.S. government foreign military sales (FMS), foreign military financing (FMF), and direct commercial sales (DCS).
- Experience obtaining export licenses and working with international defense customers.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to relay complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree, or equivalent military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently based near Springville, UT or open to relocation.
- Proficiency in Japanese, especially with technical vocabulary.
- Deep understanding of U.S. Security Cooperation and related agencies (COCOMs, ODCs, IPOs).
- In-depth knowledge of the full FMS/FMF process-from pre-LOR to LOA.
- Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
