Industrial Sales Engineer – Industrial Automation
Position Overview:
The Industrial Sales Engineer is responsible for technical sales and support, focusing on industrial automation solutions. This role involves promoting and selling industrial field instrumentation, including Primary Control Elements, Control Instrumentation, and Final Control Elements. The position requires a strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive analysis to drive business growth and product adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve sales and margin targets for assigned products.
• Develop and execute annual sales forecasts and business plans.
• Identify and pursue target accounts.
• Provide technical support and solutions-based sales strategies.
• Conduct competitive market analysis and obtain industry insights.
• Deliver sales presentations to customers.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support product awareness and training.
• Collaborate with sales partners to develop marketing and promotional programs.
• Participate in product training with manufacturers to deepen application knowledge.
• Travel as needed for customer visits, training, and industry events.

Position Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) or Associate’s Degree with 2-4 years of technical/industrial automation sales experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Instrument and Control Valve sales.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial automation products, control valves, and associated standards.
• Skills:
o Strong business-to-business sales capabilities.
o Experience with strategic planning, including competitive market analysis.
o Ability to work across functional areas and regions.
o Strong time management and organizational skills.
o Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Additional Requirements:
o Must be drug-free with no criminal record.
o Willingness to travel for training and customer engagement.
