The In-N-Out Burger Community Engagement Department has an excellent opportunity for a Foundation Coordinator in the In-N-Out Burger Foundation, out of our Irvine, CA* office. This position will report to the Program Director for the In-N-Out Burger Foundation. This role will be responsible for administrative duties and assisting with project management for the Foundation. The Foundation Coordinator will help create promotional materials, contribute to website content development, organize meetings and presentations, and interact with donors and customers to effectively communicate our mission and impact to the public, our donors, and our associates. They will have the opportunity to collaborate and act as a liaison with an overall focus on supporting the Foundation and the company’s mission and goals to positively impact our communities.
The In-N-Out Burger Foundation was founded in 1984 by Esther Snyder and her son Rich to assist children and youth who have experienced child abuse and neglect and to prevent others from suffering a similar fate. We do that by providing grant funding and support to non-profit organizations that work in these key areas: foster care/adoptions, child abuse prevention, homelessness, and domestic violence. This person will be a team member of the Community Engagement Department, which includes the In-N-Out Burger Foundation, Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, Fundraising, and Donations.
This position is full-time, in-office only
General Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and communications support for the Foundation team, such as answering and making phone calls, managing voicemails, and team calendars
- Help develop, execute, and monitor internal and external communication strategies.
- Interact and respond to incoming public communication through the website and phone calls
- Maintain social media calendar and assist with the development and scheduling of posts
- Assist in the management of the donor and grant management database
- Communicate with non-profit organizations regarding inquiries for potential funding, donations, applications, site visits, etc.
- Assist with receiving and processing grant applications
- Research possible organizations for missional alliance
- Gather information and statistical data to create reporting materials related to the child welfare system, child and youth homelessness, and domestic violence
- Support fundraising events and occasionally attend site visits
- Act as a liaison with outside collaborators, non-profit organizations, and vendors
- Work as a team player and collaboratively work across teams to accomplish tasks
- Assist in the development of presentations
- Provide additional assistance to the Community Engagement department as needed
Work Schedule Benefits
- Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt
- Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
- Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends
- Travel time: It is anticipated that 10% of the work time will be spent in the field

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in non-profit, communications, public relations, social welfare, or a relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in non-profit or community-based enrichment organizations or similar experience
- A heart that is passionate about serving people and caring for the community, especially children who have experienced abuse/neglect and the adjacent issues of homelessness, domestic violence, and prevention.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a people-first mentality and a passion for great customer service as a representative of the Foundation and In-N-Out Burger.
- Works with a high level of integrity and consistently carries themselves with tact and professionalism.
- Self-motivated and detail-orientation, with a continuous desire to grow and be challenged as a constant learner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and external non-profits, donors, and customers
- Ability to develop improved processes for planning, communication efficiency, and archiving information for record-keeping.
- Ability to collaborate with marketing professionals to produce content as it relates to the Foundation
- Experience with communications or public relations, with the ability to develop effective communication strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Asana or other task management software preferred
- Experience with social media platforms Instagram and Facebook preferred
