JOB SUMMARY:

The Email and SMS Marketing Manager is the steward of email marketing and SMS. This role is responsible for end-to-end execution and management of all acquisition and engagement campaigns via email and SMS. To be successful, the individual in this role must possess a deep understanding of industry regulations, excel in coding and deploying emails and SMS, and is adept at leveraging cutting-edge tools within email service providers (ESPs.)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Email and SMS Program Execution: oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of email and SMS campaigns. Current vendors: Braze (esp.) and Sinch (SMS.)
• Serve as the main point of contact for deploying, coding, and scheduling emails and SMS, ensuring flawless execution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate expertise in TCPA compliance and CAN-SPAM regulations, maintaining a thorough understanding of rules governing email and SMS communications.
• ESP Expertise: Showcase mastery of tools within email service providers, effectively utilizing their functionalities to craft, deliver, and analyze campaigns.
• Drip Campaigns and Customer Experience: Design and implement strategic drip campaigns to nurture leads and enhance customer engagement, optimizing the overall user experience.
• Design and Layout: provide review and feedback on layout and design, ensuring email and SMS content is visually appealing, aligns with brand guidelines and adheres to industry best practices.
• Data-Driven Analytics: analyze key metrics and develop detailed and summarized reporting on campaign performance, offering actionable insights.
• Email List Management: maintain healthy email lists, nurturing relationships with email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Fitness, IT, Operations, FP&A and Agency partners to ensure aligned marketing strategies.
• Innovation and Adaptability: Stay up to date with the email marketing ecosystem, employing best practices and adapting strategies to match industry trends.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• In-depth understanding of TCPA compliance and CAN-SPAM regulations
• Expert-level mastery of email service provider tools for coding, deploying, and analyzing campaigns.
• Experience in developing and executing strategic drip campaigns.
• Keen eye for layout, design, and visual aesthetics in email and SMS content
• Knowledge of best practices of email and SMS marketing management
• Strong understanding of email and SMS regulations and compliance
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization with physical locations spread throughout the portfolio.
• Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities and a busy work environment with tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with high energy with a positive attitude
• Self-managing with the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks.
• Displays good judgment, confidentiality and diplomacy in handling important company information and communicating with others.

• Reliability and desire to learn new things are a must for this position.
• Solid skills with computers, processes, email and desktop applications is a must
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and basic HTML

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sitting for extended period of time. Employees working in the clubs may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. Employees are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasionally reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. Employees working in the clubs may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
