LOCATION:
This position is remote in California and will require some travel to our California locations and Support Center office. The preferred candidate will reside in Northern California.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is a key contributor to the Company’s strategic decision-making process, delivering critical business analysis and reporting across various functional areas. This role collaborates closely with the Support Center and business units to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance financial reporting and analytical tools. The ideal candidate will develop and automate insightful, actionable reports to drive business performance and profitability, while providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCIAL INSIGHTS AND ANALYTICS
- Deliver high-value analytical insights using advanced data visualization tools.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic business decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior FP&A staff on process optimization, workflow automation, controls, and driving profitability initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions or challenges.
- Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating comprehensive project documentation; identifying and tracking key milestones, phases, and critical elements; prioritizing daily tasks and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables; monitoring and documenting issues that may affect project progress; coordinating system or process modifications aligned with project objectives.
FORECASTING AND BUDGETING
- Assist in setting and reviewing annual, quarterly, and monthly goals and sales targets for memberships and personal training.
- Monitor and forecast business trends and performance against set goals throughout the month.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses (best case, worst case, most likely) for strategic planning.
- Collaborate with senior FP&A staff on forecasting, planning, budgeting, benchmarking, and other financial modeling initiatives.
REPORTING AND MODELING
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial and KPI reporting, including: business unit financial statements; budget variance reporting; labor statistics; customer trends; executive reports.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL, Tableau, and Excel to visualize key metrics and trends.
- Design and implement user-friendly financial reporting systems tailored to specific business needs.
- Automate routine reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Continuously refine and enhance reporting methodologies, and operational productivity modeling, to provide more actionable insights.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Engineering, Analytics or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Business Analyst.
- Advanced Excel skills, including a strong understanding of relational databases.
- Familiarity with accounting and finance concepts; GAAP proficiency preferred.
- Proficient in working with large datasets and complex queries (SQL experience is a plus).
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Access, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and clearly present complex data.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sit for extended periods of time. Team members may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. Team members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. The team member may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
