About the Role
The VP of Engineering will be a people leader who inspires and mentors engineers while staying close to the technical details. They will drive the development of scalable blockchain architectures, decentralized protocols, and token-based systems, while fostering a high-performance engineering culture. Reporting directly to the executive team, the VP will set the technical vision, ensure security and scalability across platforms, and build a team ready to tackle the unique challenges of blockchain and Web3 technologies.
Key Responsibilities

- Define and execute technical roadmaps aligned with product and business goals.
- Drive architectural decisions for scalable and secure blockchain systems.

Key Requirements

- 10 years of engineering experience, with 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability to scale teams and mentor technical leaders.
- Track record of managing and growing technical teams in blockchain or fintech sectors.
- Experience leading both remote and on-site engineering teams.
- Strong history of recruiting and retaining top engineering talent.

- Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, including both EVM-compatible and non-EVM chains (e.g., Cosmos, Solana).
- Proficiency in smart contract development (Solidity, Rust).
- Familiarity with token standards (ERC20, ERC721, ERC4337) and decentralized finance (DeFi) frameworks.
- Experience with distributed systems architecture and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Redis) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong grasp of security best practices for financial and blockchain systems.
