What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coffee Barista position at In The Loop Coffee CO.?
Looking for someone who has a passion for coffee. We're a small one shop cafe located in the North Loop downtown. We are teamwork driven and really focus on being a neighborhood centric shop.
Ideal candidate will have barista experience as other duties will include but aren't limited to prepping sandwiches and other menu items, baking and cleaning. If you have barista experience, please make sure it is noted on your resume so we don't skip you.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages while ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for transactions and manage cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines during food preparation and service.
- Assist in baking and food preparation as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Engage with customers to enhance their experience and promote sales.
Qualifications
- Proven barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and serving techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and satisfy customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, including Aloha and Micros
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail operations
- Experience in food preparation and baking is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.17 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
