Job Title: Computer Support Technician
Location: Richland, WA
Duration: Contract
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4 days x 10 hours
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Option 1: Associate’s degree in a computer-related field.
Option 2: Associate’s degree in an unrelated field plus 1 year of experience in Information Systems/Help Desk.
Option 3: High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of directly related IT experience.
Desired Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Fundamental knowledge of:
Client/server infrastructure and local area networks.
Computer/help desk support.
Desktop computer architectures.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to competently apply IT knowledge.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, for interacting with customers, vendors, and teams.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and document procedures effectively.
Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to the Columbia Generating Station.
