Key Responsibilities
- Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales data to track performance against targets and identify growth opportunities.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize category data tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to evaluate market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Generate sales reports, dashboards, and performance summaries to assist the national sales team in strategic decision-making.
- Retailer & Account Support: Assist in the development and execution of tailored sales strategies by providing data-backed recommendations.
- Promotional Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of promotional activities and trade spend to optimize future investments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Pricing & Profitability Analysis: Evaluate pricing strategies and profitability metrics to support sales negotiations and strategic planning.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to drive sales strategy.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in sales reporting, data management, and forecasting processes.
- Professional Representation: Uphold company policies and represent Inaba Foods with professionalism and integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: 2-5 years in sales analysis, business intelligence, or a related role within the pet food industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. Must have experience working with Walmart from a Sales Analyst perspective.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with data analytics tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Power BI, Tableau).
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data-driven recommendations effectively.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and support a sales team with analytical expertise.
- Office Presence: Ability to commute to the office daily.
