As Laboratory Operations Manager you will...
- Work closely with laboratory personnel, to efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratories according to operational and safety needs, and Inari culture
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for all laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with Finance and Lab Function Leads to plan and execute capital expenses
- Coordinate the new lab instrument installation with vendors and other relevant functions within Inari. Facilitate smooth handover them to the corresponding lab focal points
- Ensure all necessary supplies and reagents are ordered, received, delivered, and accurately invoiced; maintain a common stock room with an accurate and up-to-date inventory of supplies and reagents
- Collaborate with Procurement to leverage cross-site pricing negotiations.
- Oversee proper collection, storage and disposal of laboratory biological waste in compliance with all applicable SOPs and regulations
- Champion safety in the laboratory to ensure all required documentation is up-to-date and accurate (chemical inventory, SDS's, laboratory safety manual) in collaboration with site safety leader
- In collaboration with the lab personnel, identify and manage relationships with contractors and vendors as necessary, including managing negotiations, quotes, and invoices for lab equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with other Inari sites to ensure sharing of laboratory best practices
- Champion sustainability in the laboratories

You bring....
- BS degree in biological sciences with 3-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an agriculture and/or biotech setting
- Highly self-motivated and accountable; act with a clear sense of ownership in areas of responsibility, and ensure that others do the same
- Knowledge in the operation and use of general laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, PCR machines, pH meters, incubators, balances, liquid handling automation, etc
- Project management experience, and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting. Open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback
- Aptitude for developing people in various roles and levels through coaching, feedback, and exposure to new experiences to meet both performance goals and personal development goals
- Flexibility in a constantly evolving environment. Capacity to manage ambiguity; deal comfortably with change and able to decide and act without having the total picture.
- Ability to think creatively to solve problems and generate ideas to improve overall efficiency of laboratory operations
- Ability to plan and align people and resources for successful execution
