Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field with minimum 3-year credit related experience in banking or an accounting related field.
Computer Skills
Strong proficiency in PC application, including various software systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel and banking systems.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Spread and analyze corporate and individual financial statements and tax returns.
- Prepare credit presentations to be used in the credit approval process including cash flow analysis, forecasting of future performance, industry trends and loan performance histories.
- Assign risk ratings to support loan requests
- Maintain knowledge of all supportive software, compliance, and procedures as they relate to the loan department
- Studies economic trends in firm's industry or branch of industry to predict probable success of new customer.
- Adhere to the bank’s policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations.
- Working knowledge of loan policy and guidelines to assist in appropriate structuring.
- Prepare annual loan reviews of existing loan relationships to ensure complete information, communicating with lenders regarding missing information and applicable questions.
- Create and update covenant compliance checks.
- Occasional travel to Springfield, IL corporate office for department meetings or training.

- Ability to analyze financial statements/tax returns (profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements).
- Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness necessary to complete in-depth industry and market analysis.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working independently to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
