Summary
INC is looking for a full-time Architectural Designer (may be non-licensed) with 2 years of professional experience and a B. Arch or greater with strong design skills and exceptional organizational skills on his / her way to becoming a project manager. He / she should have experience in high-end hospitality and / or residential design and experience performing Contract Administration. He / she should be able to work independently with a wide range of consultants under the supervision of one or more partners.
Responsibilities :
- BIM Modeling (Revit / SketchUp / Rhino)
Model objects in a 2D / 3D environment and understand the relationship between the virtual world and reality.
Exercise independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation / modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Participate in internal design meetings.
Understand program requirements and spatial demands for projects, including sunlight paths, user habits, and existing building conditions, to come up with optimized plan layouts.
Produce 2D images or 3D walkthroughs of objects / spaces using tools such as Enscape and Photoshop (or similar).
Tailor presentation methods to convey design intentions.
Select products and finishes for projects.
Understand and implement NYC code reviews to ensure design compliance.
Produce documents for building project filing and construction using Revit.
Requirements :
Salary Range : $90,000-$95,000 per year
