Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding care plans and services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks or similar medical software.
- Process insurance claims, including Medicare, and verify patient eligibility.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with dental office staff as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, including appointment scheduling and patient management systems.
- Proficiency in typing and computer skills, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Knowledge of care plans and insurance processes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
