What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Farm Hand position at Incarnation Camp?
1-2 Volunteers Needed for Farm Hand
The volunteer worker will be responsible for providing meals to the entire farm including; Donkeys, Chickens, Goats, Rabbits, and Pigs . Reptile care will also be required so you must be comfortable working with all types of animals. Previous animal husbandry experience is a must. Food items involve; hay, pellets, fruits, vegetables, supplements, etc. Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and working outside in all types of weather. Some husbandry tasks include to keep the animals happy and healthy (waste removal, stall maintenance, grooming). Bushy Hill farm is open to the public and some of the job involves communicating appropriately with the public.
Shift hours can be discussed, we are looking for someone to help a couple hours a day, twice a week during the weekday either Monday/Thursday/Friday and fill in as needed for weekends or other days.
This is a volunteer position only so it is perfect for retired people or people looking to fill in their time. Applicant must agree to a background check.
We are open 8am-4pm, feedings and cleaning start at 8am.
Must be 18 Previous Animal Care Experience Preferred.
