Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals and technical staff
- Oversee monthly and quarterly reconciliations, financial reporting, and audits
- Manage ACFR completion and ensure compliance with GASB standards
- Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support budgeting, payroll, grant reporting, debt issuance, and treasury
- Collaborate across departments and support strategic financial initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in leadership
- Strong understanding of governmental or non-profit accounting principles
- Experience with audits, ACFR, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- CPA, CIA, or CMA certification
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of debt management and investment compliance
- Experience with grant compliance and federal reporting (Uniform Guidance)
- Familiarity with GASB and public sector regulations
