The Security Operations Analyst will play a key role in day-to-day security operations, addressing incidents and requests with minimal guidance while using a wide range of security tools. This individual will be involved in supporting various technology and security initiatives with a company-wide impact, helping to improve security posture while enhancing user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to, resolve, and escalate security operational requests or incidents using existing processes.
- Report unresolved security exposures, misuse of resources, and noncompliance to appropriate parties.
- Work collaboratively across divisions to integrate and enhance security solutions, including Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), Identity Access Management (IAM), Application Security, and Technology Governance.
- Support and maintain automated security management processes, utilizing existing tool sets and exploring new tools as innovations arise.
- Utilize and maintain playbooks for internal use, supporting high-speed, wide-scale security monitoring, and facilitating secure business operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on compliance, risk management, and system, identity, or network security engineering.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with experience in technology design, implementation, and delivery.
- Experience in cloud computing technologies across various environments (public, private, hybrid) and service models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
- Familiarity with traditional security controls such as SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM, DAST/SAST, EDR, threat intelligence, security automation, and application controls.
- Ability to communicate business risks associated with cybersecurity issues effectively.
- Understanding of various regulatory requirements, including PCI, HIPAA, CCPA, and GLBA, as well as frameworks like NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Powershell, Bash, Ruby).
- Understanding of DevOps principles, including automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum or Waterfall.
