UC Engineer

Compensation: $45/hour - $48/hour

Location: Onsite - Oklahoma City, OK

Position: Cisco UC Engineer

A reputable Oklahoma City Client seeking an Cisco UC Engineer to join their team! This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure. The Cisco UC Engineer will have a mid-level understanding of infrastructure components and their role in enabling end-user applications and services. The position requires broad technical expertise in servers, computing, networking, storage, data centers, communication services, data protection, and virtualization.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting senior and lead engineers in infrastructure implementation, automation, and maintenance
• Lead and Support transition of Avaya to Cisco
• Contribute to ongoing maintenance and upkeeps of IT Infrastructure
• Offer feedback and suggestions on technical and architectural designs.
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure designs throughout their life cycle.
• Participate in continuous process improvement as part of IT Service Management.
• Possess a mid-level understanding of IT infrastructure components and their role in supporting end-user applications and services.
• Develop a well-rounded knowledge base across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with senior and lead engineers on infrastructure implementation, automation, and maintenance efforts.
• Provide input on design strategies and ensure accurate documentation of infrastructure changes.
• Support the organization’s commitment to ongoing process improvement within IT Service Management.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 15
• Experience implementing Cisco UC solutions
• Experience configuring and deploying Cisco 8200 series routers
• Experience with VG410 and ATA191 analog gateways
• Experience deploying a variety of Cisco phone models including 8851, 7841, 8832, and Cisco Jabber softphones.
• Experience setting up Cisco Unity Connection for voicemail services and basic call handling.
• Previous experience with Wide Area and Local Area Network Infrastructure
• Previous experience with mobile telecommunications provisioning and troubleshooting
• Previous experience with syslog and call detail records
• Infrastructure Engineer Network: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) preferred.
  
  

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in Microsoft Active Directory preferred.
• Previous experience with mobile telecommunications provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Previous experience with syslog and call detail records.
• Previous experience with telecommunications alarm management platforms and remote monitoring experience preferred.
• Previous experience with Ethernet, Internet Protocol, Routing, and QoS preferred.
