Job Title: Maintenance Groundskeeper
Job Overview:We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Groundskeeper to join our team at Lakeside. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of the community grounds, including landscaping, exterior repairs, and general cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, proficiency in basic maintenance tasks, and a commitment to providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to upkeep the appearance and functionality of the community grounds, including mowing, edging, and trimming lawns, as well as pruning trees and shrubs.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Perform minor repairs to homes as needed, including fixing leaky faucets, repairing damaged flooring, and replacing broken fixtures.
- Ensure proper waste management and disposal by emptying trash receptacles, picking up litter, and disposing of bulk items in accordance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with management and maintenance staff to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize disruptions to residents.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment for oneself and others.
- Provide courteous and timely assistance to residents by addressing maintenance requests, inquiries, and concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance.
- Working knowledge of landscaping equipment, hand and power tools, and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting tasks related to plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, colleagues, and management.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
