What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roadside Assistance Driver / FDOT Road Ranger Service Patrol position at IncidentClear?
IncidentClear is seeking out individuals who possess motivation, a desire to serve, and those who have a history of service to others to be a part of the FDOT Safety Patrol Program. IncidentClear's Safety Patrol Operators, also known as the Broward Road Rangers, patrol Florida's busiest highways (including I-595, I-95, I-75 and Alligator Alley). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Servicing disabled vehicles by providing fuel, changing/inflating tires, or jump starting vehicles
- Clearing stranded vehicles and debris from driving lanes
- Maintaining lanes of traffic
- Relocating stranded motorists to a safe location
- Providing cell phone assistance
- Communicating with RTMC Operators (FDOT Regional Transportation Management Center)
- Monitoring the streets by assisting disabled/abandoned vehicles, lane closures, debris in the roadway, and general roadway incidents
- Assist with mitigating delays caused by traffic incidents or obstructions in the roadway
CURRENT SHIFT NEEDS: Full Time - All FT positions require daytime, overnight, and weekend availability to cover a variety of shifts and hours.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have a safe driving record with a current Florida driver's license
- Unwavering reliability/punctuality
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Be able to lift 60 pounds
- Pass a criminal background check and driver license investigation (no felony convictions are accepted)
- Pass a pre-employment and annual random drug testing
- Possess certification in first-aid or willingness to obtain certification
- Possess knowledge of basic automotive mechanics
- Possess sound judgment in carrying out their duties and conduct themselves in such a manner that will reflect favorably upon IncidentClear and FDOT
