Inclusion Connections is looking for a highly organized and personable Volunteer and Events Manager to support a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates will be responsible for the following:
The primary responsibility of this position is the successful day-to-day management of volunteers and mobile pop-ups.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Manage Pop-Up Events & Revenue
- Lead oversight, manage day-to-day coordination and execute the organization’s events and mobile events which include but are not limited to: mobile pop-ups, farmers markets and multi-day KC community events
- Lead day to day logistics, scheduling, event preparation, staffing and student plans, product coordination, etc. to successfully carryout external events and ensure the events reflect the integrity, mission impact and reputation of the organizations
- Maintain organization’s existing corporate relationships and partners as well as build new relationships and partnerships for the organization with the support of the Director of Strategic Partnerships
- Maintain best practices, review contracts and oversee event procedures for the organization
- Maintain the organization Event Report database, event policies and event procedures
- Recruit, train, schedule and manage each individual event staffing plan (i.e., on-site event supervisors utilizing volunteers, IC staff and students)
- Coordinate logistics, as needed, with family members and caregivers for student staffing at events and pop-ups
- Manage pre- and post-event procedures (i.e., packing, setup, breakdown, inventory and proceeds reconciliations) including: an event report recap to be sent within 48 business hours to the COO
- Coordinate with organization’s Marketing/Social Media Coordinator to ensure promote events are part of the overall communications plan and social media
- Provide on-site event management
- Oversee event and outreach technology (i.e., maintain iPads and Shopify POS) and our point-of-sale system ensuring all hardware systems are accounted for, up to date, charged and maintained
- Ensure PawsAbilities products up to date and maintained in the organization’s sales system (i.e., Shopify)
Wholesale Outreach and Consignment Revenue
- Lead outreach via phone calls, emails and coordinate in-person meetings to promote our mission, PawsAbilities products revenue/sales and wholesale partnerships
- Conduct monthly reports on wholesale partnerships purchasing
- Responsible for ordering private label treat bags (i.e., Track inventory, notify customers when they need to purchase, order packaging from vendor, etc.)
- Make at least two month in-person meetings on consignment accounts – inventory and revenue tracking
- Create and maintain products on PawsKC
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Schedule, welcome, and engage individual and group volunteers
- Track volunteer data
- Prepare reports on volunteer participation
- Access volunteer needs and make assignments accordingly
- Recruiting, training, and supervising new volunteers.
- Using e-mails and volunteer databases as needed
- Matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
