Responsibilities:
- Execute legislative, regulatory, and political strategy.
- Represent in all interactions with electeds, government officials and staff
- Track legislation relevant at municipal and county levels
- Work cross-functionally with senior management on developing public policy priorities
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Communications, and Marketplace teams on developing market strategy
- Track and respond to government inquiries and requests on policy issues
- Partner with policymakers from across the political spectrum in the best interests of rideshare drivers and riders
- Inform company stakeholders and lines of business on legislative and regulatory developments
- Manage external consultants to assist with key policy priorities
- Manage strategic relationships with external stakeholders and third party organizations based in NYC.
- Draft comments, talking points and memos for senior executives
Experience:
- 5 years of political, government, and/or government relations experience
- Experience directly lobbying government officials on complex issues
- Natural connector and relationship builder
- Exceptional strategic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Proven self-starter with experience leading and winning on complex policy issues
- Natural connector and relationship builder
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) - you know how to tell a good story and advocate your position
- Attention to detail
- Deep relationships with state and local policymakers, and community organizations

Salary: $118,000 - $147,500
