Position SummaryThe Housekeeping Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment within a designated facility. This role combines technical skills with traditional housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere for residents, guests, or staff.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following : Lives out the INcompass Healthcare promise by consistently displaying compassion, treating all with dignity, and providing exceptional care for everyone. Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work. Perform routine and specialized cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in various areas of the facility. Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals to achieve optimal results. Implement and adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a hygienic environment. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials. Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables according to established procedures. Monitor waste receptacles and replace liners as needed. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying supervisors when replenishment is required. Ensure that cleaning materials are stored safely and securely. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to achieve collective cleanliness goals. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any maintenance or cleanliness issues.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and infection control practices. Ability to operate technical cleaning equipment. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Time management and organizational skills.
