Salary Range: 

Total Base Bonus ~$300,000

 About The Position 

The Vice President of Sales; Consulting, Research and VR Solutions is a critical member of our highly talented Team, reporting into the President/Chief Research Officer. You will lead sales in the CPG vertical, where we have tremendous opportunity to identify, pitch, and close prospective CPG customers in a high growth environment. In this role you will have the ability to sell our developed consulting services, extensive research processes our enterprise SAAS virtual software, and other transformative programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record selling upline to CPG companies at the C-suite level and below, with extensive sales experience and a deep knowledge of the retail/CPG ecosystem dynamic. Key to the success of this role is understanding research and consulting processes, making you a pivotal consultative partner with our client base.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients with a strong propensity to grow their business 

  • Prospect pre-identified (and other) CPG companies to identify and set meetings with decision makers.  

  • Understand our client’s business challenges through strong questioning and listening and in turn be able to effectively translate these into an opportunity for our consulting, research platforms, software or services. 

  • Comfortably demonstrate all aspects of our services including our virtual store software solution to prospective clients 

  • Clearly present InContext’s value proposition and create a need that demands a sense of urgency. 

  • Work cross-functionally with our product, technology and insights teams to develop proposals that align with the client’s needs, while incorporating and maintaining ICS’s profitability ratios for each type of work. 

  • Close new business opportunities through a series of in person/phone/web-ex/Teams activity to consult with our prospects in person. 

  • Meet and exceed new business revenue target. 

Qualifications: 

  • 10 years of progressive business development experience with CPG companies including consultative and research sales as well as an enterprise solution. 

  • A proven C-suite track record; strong listening and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize your time in a fast-paced environment. 

  • A deep understanding of common business challenges encountered by CPG manufacturers; including the roles of Category Management, Retail integration, Store Planning and Insights. 

  • Must have a strong executive presence, a good personality, and high level of confidence. 

  • Strong pipeline management skills: knowledge of Salesforce is a plus. 

  • Ability to use metrics in order to understand your performance as it relates back to the business. 

  • A hungry individual with an innate sense of curiosity and entrepreneurship, along with a desire to independently solve business challenges with customized solutions. 

Salary and Benefits 

 The base annual salary range for this position is $150,000--$180,000  

Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, and experience.  

Bonus potential average is similar-to base salary.
