Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. Responsibilities include handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using the clinic's electronic system.
Verify patient insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork.
Collect co-pays, process payments, and issue receipts.
Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
Communicate with medical staff regarding patient arrivals and schedule updates.
Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, and emailing documents.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or medical office training preferred.
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
