Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team within the AI Innovations Institute. This role focuses on the development, deployment, and maintenance of AI agents that leverage LLMs to support various functions across Incyte. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, experience with cloud-based infrastructures, and a passion for applying AI to real-world challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy AI agents utilizing LLMs to support diverse functions such as research, clinical operations, and commercial activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and to tailor solutions to specific departmental needs.
* Implement scalable machine learning models and ensure their integration with existing systems and workflows.
* Utilize AWS services to build and maintain robust, secure, and efficient AI infrastructures.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed AI agents, making iterative improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
* Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning to continuously enhance the institute's capabilities.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, particularly those involving LLMs.
* Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
* Experience with AWS cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, and SageMaker.
* Understanding of AI agent architectures and their applications in automating complex tasks.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these fields.
* Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment of machine learning models.
* Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices for handling sensitive information.
