Role: Account Director
About the role
Indegene is looking for a front-line manager in driving business growth as well as managing customer engagement efforts. You will assist in the development of sales strategy by providing insight into opportunities across geographies, business units and offerings. You will lead and manage the sales cycles for our full suite of offerings and curate Indegene’s services and solutions to executives across the clients’ value chain.
Core responsibilities:
- Develop deep understanding of the client business and priority areas
- Responsible for developing and maintaining deep client knowledge; understanding of their business priorities, organizational culture, product portfolio and pipeline, spend/budget priorities
- Maintain and further establish strong relationships with existing client stakeholders and develop a pipeline of opportunities through new opportunities, cross-selling and up-selling of Indegene’s services
- Manage day-to-day sales process across opportunities taking them towards closure collaborating with service line partners, pre-sales team and finance
- Manage and maintain the CRM system with other administrative responsibilities on the account for management reporting, account plans, supervising out-reach marketing campaigns and engagement plan on a regular basis
- Drive structured, compelling conversations with existing clients that generate new programs including but not limited to the evangelization of new commercial models and business case development
- Develop strong client relationships to ensure successful renewals and identify future sales opportunities in collaboration with the Client Partner
- Support the Client Partner in acquisition of new client buying groups
- Lead the process on RFPs and RFIs by partnership with the solutioning teams, SMEs etc. and ensuring that the responses are done in a timely and cohesive manner
- Support large, complex, integrated solutions (often multi-services and multinational solutions) working the Client Partner, Large Deals team and Service Line Heads
- Lead a defined, structured approach to governance on all ongoing pipeline opportunities and engagement reviews
- Facilitate handoffs to customer success and fulfilment teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Must Haves:
- 6-8 years of solutions/ services sales experience and/ or demonstrated Account Management capability at established Agency/ Pharma/ Technology/ BPO / Consulting firm
- Pharma industry knowledge including but not limited to clinical, commercial and medical operating models, digital transformations in pharma, customer experience is preferred
- Strong core “consultative selling” skills including problem solving, data analysis, process design, story-boarding and relationship management
- Strong ability to build and manage customer relationships, as well as navigate complex buying and decision-making environments
- Proven ability to sell both individually and in collaboration with a larger sales organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach working with multiple internal stakeholders like finance, pre-sales, business units, delivery leads etc. to close opportunities
