What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Part- Time position at Independence Rehab?
Independence Rehab is actively looking to hire a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Solstice at Point Defiance, a beautiful Assisted Living Facility in Tacoma, WA. We need help about 20'ish hours per week.
In this role, you will treat our beloved geriatric residents on an outpatient basis, in an on-site gym.
The facility hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30. We are happy to allow you a flexible schedule to meet your individual scheduling needs.
Here are a few SNF practice-specific items:
- Occasionally treating clinically complex patients
- Proficient with all types of transfers
- Provide adaptive ADL re-training
If you need help with any of the above competencies, we are happy to provide competency training!
Our preference is a therapist who has worked at least one year in a skilled nursing facility, but if you are caring, passionate, licensed therapist who enjoys the geriatric population, we would love to hear from you!
