What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seaport Summer Camp Counselor position at Independence Seaport Museum?
Reporting to the Summer Camp Supervisor, Seaport Summer Camp Counselors lead engaging hands-on activities, tours, and row, kayak, or provide dock supervision for campers ages 6-12. Camp hours are 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM with aftercare from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate has great classroom management skills, can teach children of all ages, is quick to think on their feet, and knows how to make learning fun. This is a seasonal position for 34-38 hours per week. Camp runs Monday-Friday, July 8-August 9, 2024. There will be a mandatory week of training taking place on June 26-28 and July 1-2 and an additional 2-3 days the week of August 12.
