The Director of Sales and Customer Success is primarily responsible for servicing Private Label, Franchise, and Contract Pack customers. In addition to maintaining direct sales relationships, this role will oversee Customer Service, coordinate with Production, Warehousing, and Logistics, support ERP data integrity, and collaborate with management to maintain accurate and efficient planning and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute customer sales planning to achieve volume targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Meet with customers in person and virtually.
- Negotiate customer contracts and pricing agreements.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports for procurement planning.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and decision making for Private Label, Franchise, and Contract Pack customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular reviews of customer accounts and sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
Customer Success:
- Oversee customer service operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
- Manage Customer Service Manager, including quarterly bonus target setting and reviews.
- Provide support and vacation backup for Customer Service Manager.
- Develop and revise tools for coordination and communication with customers as needed.
Operational Support:
- Collaborate with the production team to understand and support the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize inventory management, carrier communication, and order fulfillment.
- Provide support to administrative staff as needed.
- Complete semi-annual physical inventory counts on weekends or holidays.
ERP System Support:
- Learn how to navigate and modify data in the ERP system (Deacom).
- Ensure data in ERP system (sales, forecasts, item information) is accurate and reliable to support production planner, warehouse, and the plant.
- Assist with new item and customer file setup and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of sales and customer service leadership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for leading innovation and finding efficiencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Bachelor’s degree (Business preferred).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Experience in the beverage industry and/or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Basic formula/coding knowledge for Excel or other programs.
Due to Independent Beverage being a manufacturer, this is an in-person position that requires very occasional travel, typically within the Carolinas.
