Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents through direct support and care. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, medication administration knowledge, and an understanding of resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of residents.
• Implement behavior management techniques to support individuals with specific needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following health and safety protocols.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
• Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and preferences at all times.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures is essential.
• Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and resident rights.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Valid driver's license is preferred for transportation duties.
