Duties

- Support clients in social activities and community integration to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and any changes in condition.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
- Provide assistance with medication management as needed.
- Lift and transfer clients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to coordinate care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred; experience in nursing homes or assisted living settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is beneficial.
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
- Skills in cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs are advantageous.
- A background in social work or related fields can enhance the effectiveness of the role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and assist clients with mobility challenges.
