Position Summary
The Accounting II position requires analytical and problem-solving skills. He/She is expected to work efficiently in an environment that is fast paced and should be able to easily adapt to changes in workload.
Essential Functions
- Preparing Weekly Cash Balance Reports
- Preparing Bank Deposits
- Entering transactions in Great Plains
- Assisting with the monthly financial statement closing
- Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger.
- Post Journal entries as needed.
- Reconcile and Maintain balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with year-end closing.
- Prepares fixed assets depreciation and accrual. Maintain a fixed assets schedule.
- Assist with accounts receivable monthly billing and applying payments.
- Maintain financial records safeguarded and organized.
- Assist with other special projects.
- Participating in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Providing administrative support including the preparation of spreadsheets to the finance department
Education and Experience
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Have an intermediate understanding of computers and systems.
- Have 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- High volume, fast-paced environment
