POSITION SUMMARY
This Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for reporting and analysis activities within the Finance department. This position will support all month end closing and quarterly activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work with the Finance leads to develop/maintain reports based on regulatory and client customized specifications.
- Responsible for preparation of Month End and Quarterly reporting, including but not limited to JEs and financial statements.
- Responsible for reporting accurate units, paid dollar allocations, revenue and membership demographics.
- Responsible for preparing annual departmental budgets for review by Chief Accounting Officer.
- Prepare ad hoc financial statement forecasting and other analytics for senior leadership team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or equivalent
- At least 5 years of related work experience in either: Finance, Accounting or reporting analytics.
- Medicare or Medicaid related experience a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as this position will be interacting with various departments within the company as well as interacting with senior leadership team.
- The ideal candidate must be highly organized with an attention to detail.
- Must be an independent and creative thinker.
- Must be able to work with and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Must be an expert user in Excel, Access and Word
- Must be able to present ideas clearly and concisely to all audiences verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to manage and deal with conflict and stressful situations in a calm, reasonable and composed manner.
- Proven analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
