- Verify and ensure the accuracy of patient information.
- Assign appropriate procedure and diagnosis codes in accordance with established guidelines.
- Enter charges and submit claims to various insurance carriers.
- Generate statements and handle payment postings and adjustments.
- Address denials and manage patient collections effectively.
- Maintain and oversee all aspects of aging accounts.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and grammar with strong typing capabilities.
- Exceptional mathematical skills necessary for accurate coding and billing.
- Experience with medical coding and billing processes is essential.
- Familiarity with Family Medicine coding is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in eCW software is strongly desired.
- Must hold a valid Certified Medical Coder certification.
- Previous experience in Family Medicine and familiarity with eCW is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandated.
