Overview: The Director of Strategic Sourcing – Produce, is responsible for supporting all aspects for SUBWAY® restaurants related to fresh and processed Produce. This position is responsible for developing and supporting the execution of category sourcing strategies that assure supply, quality, and cost competitiveness for SUBWAY® in the U.S and Canada; managing the relationship with the 3rd party Produce Sourcing team; managing the relationship with SUBWAY Culinary, FSQA and Transformation relative to Produce. This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and is a key member of the Sourcing Team.

- Develop and support strategies, programs, and policies for both commodities and finished products that meet short- and long-term goals and objectives.
- Communicate performance against category strategies and goals to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Negotiate and execute key contracts in alignment with sourcing strategies to create the best value for the products being sourced.
- Foster effective relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build alignment on strategic initiatives and projects.
- Manage the business relationship with the 3rd party produce sourcing organization.
- Act as Sourcing Manager for all Produce items not directly sourced by the 3rd Party.
- Lead RFI / RFP activity related to engaging a 3rd party produce sourcing organization.
- Lead and facilitate the evaluation of suppliers and product categories to assure supply, reduce risk and ensure compliance with Brand claims and government regulations.
- Establish and manage raw material programs to favorably manage cost and risks for products being sourced with support from suppliers and commodity consultant as needed.
- Collaborates with Quality & Food Safety Team on supplier issues to ensure they are communicated, reviewed and addressed adequately or provide alternative solutions.
- Engage with key supply chain teams, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Distribution and Logistics, to support organizational and Brand goals to maximize value and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in Supply Chain, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.

Travel: This job does not require international travel. Occasionally, local travel within driving distance, and overnight domestic travel may be required.

This is a full-time position. Standard office hours from Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. This position may require additional work hours outside these work hours, including weekends to complete job requirements.
