What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rope Access NDT Visual Inspector (offshore) position at independent Texas based company?
The Rope Access NDT Inspector (offshore) is responsible for performing Ultrasonic Thickness testing, and general and close visual piping inspections in accordance with the client’s procedures.
Detailed inspection reports and related inspection activities will be completed according to the client’s processes and submitted to the client’s integrity team.
The inspector is required to follow Company and Client safety standards and practices, and comply with legal regulations.
Essential Qualifications
Rope access certified, preferably IRATA.
Have ASNT Visual testing certification (or equivalent)
Have UT level 2 certification
Have valid offshore survival and medical.
Essential Requirements
Be based, and authorized to work in the USA.
3 years minimum site experience performing visual inspections.
Ability to provide clear verbal and written technical instructions and reports, with team members and the client representative.
Understand piping and engineering drawings.
Work Conditions
Outdoor offshore work on an oil & gas production platform.
Climb and maneuver using rope access equipment to perform inspections at elevated areas.
Travel to and mobilise from Houma LA, to US Gulf of Mexico platforms
Attend induction and onboarding and safety training at Company and Client’s offices based in Houston.
Project-based position working 12-hour shifts, up to 14 days per rotation, for a period of approximately 3 months starting mid February. Depending on work priorities this duration could be extended.
