- The Warranty Administrator is responsible for managing corporate warranty policies, processing repair orders for warranty payments, supervising assistants, managing accounting records, and supporting the Department Manager in budget and expense allocation. This role involves creating reports and databases, managing department business automation equipment, software, and data, and serving as the System Administrator for x-time (web scheduler) and DealerCONNECT for PQRC. The Dealer Warranty Administrator will work closely with Corporate Warranty Administration, the Warranty Parts Return Group, and the Shop Operations Manager to ensure efficient and effective warranty operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Corporate Warranty Policy: Ensure compliance with corporate warranty policies and procedures. Review and update warranty policies as needed. Process Repair Orders for Warranty Payment: Accurately process repair orders for warranty claims. Ensure timely payment of warranty claims.
Manage Accounting Records: Maintain accurate accounting records for warranty transactions. Assist in financial reporting and analysis.
Assist Department Manager in Budget and Expense Allocation: Support the Department Manager in budget planning and expense management. Monitor and report on budget performance.
Create Reports and Databases: Develop and maintain reports and databases to support warranty, business, and vehicle repair operations. Provide data analysis and insights to the Department Manager.
Manage Department Business Automation Equipment, Software, and Data:
Oversee the management of business automation tools and software.
Ensure data integrity and security.
System Administrator for x-time (Web Scheduler): Manage the x-time system for scheduling and tracking warranty repairs. Provide training and support to users.
DealerCONNECT System Administrator for PQRC: Ensure system functionality and user access.
Work with Corporate Warranty Administration: Review Warranty Bulletin drafts prior to release.
Collaborate with the DealerCONNECT group on proposed application revisions.
Provide user feedback on proposals and test applications prior to release. Serve as a liaison to the Detroit Warranty Administrators Guild. Create Reports and Databases for Warranty Parts Return Group:
Develop reports and databases to expedite the processing of warranty parts return paperwork.
Ensure accurate tracking and documentation. Work with Shop Operations Manager: Assist in the coordination of department Town Halls and events.
Create tracking reports for shop productivity and efficiency. - Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warranty administration or related role.
Strong knowledge of warranty policies and procedures.
Proficiency in business automation software and systems (e.g., x-time, DealerCONNECT).
Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
