The Business Analyst will collaborate with our customers to define product requirements, develop a product understanding, and communicate effectively to both business and technical audiences to deliver solutions. You will be expected to use your expertise and experience in Agile and scrum practices to help drive SAFe best practices. Not only will you coach and mentor the team through the SAFe agile methodology, but will also assure the work being done aligns with product management, product ownership, and external stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and validate business needs and application requirements
  • Manages user stories and features related to the application requirements
  • Prepares materials for the development and operations teams to use in program increment planning
  • Support project managers with managing the client relationship and deliverables
  • Work with stakeholders to define product vision and application requirements
  • Attend requirements gathering meetings with the client to identify business needs, functional and system requirements
  • Participates in Agile Development process
  • Collaborate with the development and testing team to ensure implementation of the needed business, functional and system requirements
  • Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments
  • Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity
  • Communicate requirements to developers, testers, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate product functionality to stakeholders
  • Evangelize Agile mindset and behaviors. Coach team on Agile principles, values, and practices.
  • Facilitate and support scaled agile (SAFe) ceremonies.
  • Regularly report metrics on team capacity, predictability, and maturity.
  • Remove roadblocks and raise issues to management as needed.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of overall experience, or 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience managing requirements and backlog and converting requirements into user stories required.
  • 3 years of prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS), Integrated Data Repository (IDR), FWA programs preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex requirements into actionable work items.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineering and analytics teams to discuss technical concepts, make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication required
  • At least 1 year of scrum master experience:
    • Good capability to report status to product and program management.
    • Proven experience with program increment planning.
    • Proven experience with risk identification and mitigation.
    • Proven ability to report standard Agile metrics in frequent status reports.
  • Agile/Scrum Certification required.
  • Expertise with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, Slack etc.

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
